Small group Zoom lessons (up to four people)
Join me for a small Alexander Technique Zoom class. These classes are a relaxed, effective, and affordable way to explore the Alexander Technique. You’ll learn practical tools you can use anywhere, anytime.
Who is this class for?
- This class is for people who would like their sitting, standing, walking, and computer use to feel more comfortable and less tense.
- It’s for people who want to reduce or avoid neck and back pain, and improve their posture in the process.
- It’s for anyone who is curious about the Alexander Technique and would like a practical, affordable way to try it out.
What often comes up:
- How to sit at the computer with less slumping and more uprightness and ease.
- Stopping common causes of neck and back pain.
- Walking taller and feeling lighter.
- How our eyes take our neck and pull it forward toward our screens.
- Alexander Technique-specific ideas and terms—like inhibition, end-gaining, and primary control—turned into simple everyday language.
- Concepts from my very practical, slightly wacky book Lighten UP
“I took Alexander Technique Zoom classes last summer, and they were fantastic. Mark explained the concepts simply and clearly, and was incredibly supportive. The classes were fun. I noticed improvements in my posture and my mood, even over zoom. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to improve their posture and well-being.” – Judy L.
You’re welcome!
You’re welcome whether you’re new to the Alexander Technique or have some experience.

Neutral, free, open, with readiness, poise and grace – I’d like to stay in THAT position forever! Thanks for the inspiring post, Mark. I enjoy reading your blog.
I’d like to stay there too! Thanks very much, Karen
Beautiful Mark! I really like how you were able to inhibit and meet your student where he was at. It’s so difficult to do that, and you seem to have done it so easily. Lovely.
Well, I did it once! Thanks Victoria!
You know that Marj Barstow used to change whatever she agreed with based on what the person was doing as they said it. This is what your post reminded me about…if someone is “getting” what you want to communicate, by all means – whatever they say while they’re in action is absolutely the right thing for them.
That’s great. Thanks a lot, Franis.
